Asagohan Cafe & Eatery sits right opposite Phalla Angkor Night Market in Siem Reap, making it a convenient stop for those exploring the bustling market area. This cafe offers more than just a quick caffeine fix; it provides a relaxed, air-conditioned space with a cozy atmosphere that invites visitors to slow down amid the lively surroundings.

The menu is notably diverse, blending Japanese small bites with Western and Khmer options, which makes it appealing to a wide variety of tastes. Signature items like their coffee and the salmon eggs benedict stand out as crowd-pleasers, but the matcha latte paired with mochi cake draws particular praise from regulars who appreciate carefully crafted drinks and desserts. While the kitchen’s attention to detail means waiting times might stretch a bit longer than at faster-paced spots, the freshness and quality of each plate tend to keep patrons coming back.

During the day, the atmosphere leans toward a tranquil retreat from the heat and crowds outside. It’s a favored place for guests staying nearby—especially those at Onederz hostel—who return repeatedly for breakfast and light meals that balance comfort with an international flair. The staff's friendly, attentive approach adds to the easy-going vibe, creating an environment where locals and travelers alike feel welcome to linger.

If you’re wandering around Angkor Night Market or need a mid-morning or afternoon break with reliable coffee and thoughtfully prepared food, Asagohan offers a steady, unpretentious option. Its mix of seating, air conditioning, and variety means it fits well for solo visitors looking to catch up on reading or for groups wanting a casual shared meal without rushing.

Clean, air conditioned, and great service with delicious food! We tried an array of ‘small bites’ of Japanese dishes and they were all excellent. The menu also had western and Khmer options as well.

I had such a wonderful experience at ASAGOHAN Cafe and Eatery today. The environment is cozy and welcoming, and the menu has so many great choices. I ordered the matcha latte and mochi cake – both were absolutely delicious, the best I’ve had! Everything was prepared with care, and it made my visit really enjoyable. Highly recommend this place! Definitely a place I would love to come back to again.

Wish I found this place sooner… or I would have come even more! The menu is surprisingly extensive, and even though I didn’t take many pics, everything I tried, from the salads to the small bites, was fresh, flavourful and clearly made with care (which explains the slightly longer waiting time some reviews mention) I became ADDICTED with their matcha–mochi combo (homemade & delicious!) and ended up ordering it every single day haha. The staff were so sweet they even gifted me one on my last day Service definitely deserves 5 stars too, everyone is so kind, attentive and welcoming. The space itself is bright, green and peaceful, making it such a lovely spot to relax Orkun chran

I have eaten here quite a few times over the past couple of months. Food is always quite good, ambience very relaxing, and the price point is worthy of the quality you receive. Staff and manager are kind, gracious, and friendly.

If you’re staying at Onederz, be aware that this place is a magnet and you will go back everyday. Food is absolutely insanely delicious. They are not expensive at all, you will get more quality than the price you pay. We came back 3 times and would’ve kept going if we stayed longer, we went each day of our trip here in Siem Reap. Breakfast is a little more expensive than you would go eat at your hotel but better than you can ever imagine. If you can still choose, don’t take breakfast at your hotel but just come here each day. Coffee is delicious, smoothie bowls are insane (fresh ingredients and more Acai so very refreshing and cold). They give you free water and fill your glass again when it’s empty. The staff are so sweet! Also the avocado and bacon bagel is delicious (I took it every day). You also get some free fruit with the breakfast menu as well as a juice

This Japanese style cafe is simply one of the best places to eat in all of Siem Reap. They have fantastic Japanese, Western, and local cuisine; not to mention the tiramisu is to die for. The service is top notch, the prices are very reasonable, the coffee is very good, and the atmosphere is chill, clean, and modern.

This place is insane! We’ve been 3 times for breakfast, the food tastes incredible and the presentation is 10/10, and for less than £4 you can include a coffee of your choosing, unbelievable for the price and actually some of the best coffee we’ve had in Siem Reap! The staff are all so sooo friendly and accommodating, cannot fault this place!

This quickly became a go to for me while in Siem Reap. Great range of drinks and food. On different occasions I enjoyed their smoothie bowls and Khmer Amok - both really good. The staff were very polite and friendly too.
